Turnabot Turbo Torque Wheels (1 pair)

After SUBSTANTIAL research, testing, polling, searching, prototyping, iterating, interrogating, and then testing again, we have developed a wheel design that meets the goals of:

1. EASY for anyone (including children) to install
2. SECURE clamping to the driveshaft
3. Removable ~ when desired
4. Reusable many times

The image is a real 6 kilo (13.2 pound) weight being held up by the wheel. Yes it hurt my fingers holding it for this picture. No the wheel was not damaged and was still easily removable and re-installable.

For now, we'll offer them in 2 options; all grey/silver, or random colors.

Each order is "A pair and a spare." It includes 3 wheels, 3 collets, and 1 tool.

The wheel and collet weigh near 2grams.

A typical middle-schooler can tighten the collet to the point that most people (and opponent robots) cannot remove the wheel (without loosening the collet first).

A typical adult can tighten the collet to the point that it is more likely that the mount will fail long before the wheel comes off.

The 14mm are designed to work with two very common tires:

1. 24mm x 14mm
2. 30.4mm x 14mm

The 22mm are designed to work with common 37mm x 22mm tires.
